For most of my life, I imagined what it would be like to turn seventeen. I thought growing up meant taking charge of my own life and beginning to make my mark on the world. But as I got older, I became more apprehensive. The people and media around me had never made adulthood seem this complicated. *CAN YOU KEEP A SECRET* is a journey through my anxieties. Each piece explores a different part of my life, from relationships and the uncertainty of growing up to insecurity and body image. Growth is gradual. We rarely notice the exact moment we change or understand how it happens. Identity is always evolving, shaped by the experiences that bring us to the present. Rather than focusing on who I would've, could've, or should've been, this body of work reflects on who I am.
